Alexander City police responded to a report of a gunshot victim at Parkway Apartments at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Thursday. When officers arrived, they found Jarryl suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to Russell Medical Center, where, despite the efforts of medical staff, he later passed away. His death has sent waves of grief through those who knew and loved him.
Jarryl was more than a victim of violence—he was a son, a loved one, a friend, and a young man with a life full of meaning. To his family, he was deeply cherished, and to those who knew him, he was remembered for his presence and the place he held in their lives. The pain of losing Jarryl so suddenly and tragically is something we never imagined we would face.”
