With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, the Yuma, Arizona community mourns the tragic loss of Ginger Adell Bradford, age 87, and Ronald Edward Yowell, age 85, whose lives were taken in a devastating collision on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. What began as an ordinary morning ended in profound heartbreak, leaving families, friends, and neighbors united in grief.
According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred at approximately 11:27 a.m. at the intersection of S. Avenue 1E and E. County 15th Street. A 2013 Chevy Captiva traveling northbound on S. Avenue 1E collided with a 2005 Jeep Wrangler traveling westbound through the intersection. First responders arrived swiftly and provided life-saving measures at the scene. Both drivers, the sole occupants of their vehicles, were transported by Rural Metro to Onvida Health, where they tragically succumbed to their injuries.
Ginger Adell Bradford, a longtime resident of Yuma, lived a life shaped by years of experiences, relationships, and memories that touched many. She will be remembered for her resilience, her stories, and the quiet strength that comes with a life well-lived. Her presence will be dearly missed by those who loved her.
Ronald Edward Yowell, also of Yuma, leaves behind a legacy of dedication, warmth, and connection. Through the seasons of his life, Ronald built bonds that will endure beyond his passing—memories held close by family and friends who cherished him deeply.
