According to the Lake County Coroner’s Office, Allen was identified as the individual found unresponsive on the railroad tracks Friday evening. Authorities responded at approximately 5:30 p.m. to the area near Winchester Road, west of Ellis Avenue, after a train crew aboard Train #2131, outbound from Chicago, reported seeing a person on the tracks. Despite emergency response efforts, Allen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
