With hearts heavy and spirits grieving, the Jacksonville community mourns the tragic and untimely loss of Bradley Kinder, who was struck and killed on New Year’s Day while riding his bike along Southside Boulevard. What should have been a simple ride became a life-altering tragedy, leaving family, friends, and the entire community heartbroken over a young life taken far too soon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2010 Dodge Challenger, registered in Pennsylvania, struck Bradley in the bike lane, and the driver fled the scene. While authorities have expressed gratitude for the public’s assistance, they continue to seek more information to locate the driver responsible for this devastating act.
Bradley’s aunt, Corinne Broskey, shared the pain of losing her nephew:
“Unbelievable, especially for someone to leave the scene. It was unbelievable because for us it’s like the end of a family, so it’s hard.” Her words reflect the profound sense of loss felt by all who loved him.
Bradley was known not just as a kind and caring soul, but as a young man with big dreams and a heart for helping others. From a young age, he dreamed of planting trees to nourish and give back to the community—a reflection of his selfless nature and his desire to make the world a better place. Those who knew him remember a life full of compassion, vision, and the quiet strength of a person who genuinely cared for those around him.
To his family, Bradley was a beloved nephew and cherished loved one whose presence brought joy, laughter, and warmth.
